Utmost good faith

A summary of the doctrine of good faith was given in the case of Bowen v. Rozanes in 1928 as follows "as the insurer does not know anything and the man who comes to askfor insurance knows everything, is the duty the insured to make a full disclosure to the insurer, without being asked, all the material circumstances, this is expressed by saying that this is a contract in good faith best efforts ".
